Urea, like Glycerin is found naturally in the skin and forms part of the “Natural Moisturizing Factor” (NMF), a compound of substances which are responsible to retain and bind moisture in the skin.

Folklore is rich in references to the healing properties of urea. The Babylonians of about 800 B.C. are known to have used it.

Urea promotes hydration by increasing skin's water binding capacity and decrease water loss from skin's surface. It also helps to dissolve rough and dry skin through keratolytic (softens horny layer) action.

Urea is an excellent choice for dry and ageing skin and in particular to smooth thickened skin on feet and for the treatment of rough, dry and cracked heels.

Squalane is the more stable variance of Squalene which is found in the human sebum and is made from olives. Our squalane from olives has the amazing ability to completely penetrate deeply into the skin. It is a powerful antioxidant, prevents UV damage and the formation of age spots, promotes cell growth and is an antibacterial. It is completely non-irritating.
Although Squalene is produced naturally by the body, the production of this chemical slows drastically after age thirty, thus contributing to dry skin. Using a moisturizer with Squalane will help to restore the proper balance of the skin’s oils. Squalane not only hydrates and softens the skin, but is also an effective anti-aging ingredient. Because Squalane spreads easily over the skin and penetrates so deeply, it may help to lessen the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It also fights aging by protecting the skin from UV rays and free radicals, which destroy skin cells and damage the skin’s natural collagen.

Jojoba Oil – is chemically a liquid wax, which closely resembles the natural oils and fats of the skin sebum and therefore has a great affinity to the skin. It is readily absorbed without making the skin greasy, tacky or clogging the pores assisting the rejuvenation of the skin by forming a layer with exceptional trans-epidermal water control, which is of particular importance for mature and dry skin. Jojoba Oil is very stable against oxidation, which slows down enzymatic and bacterial break-down process on the skin, ensuring long lasting protecting properties.

Important is also the ability to penetrate the outside layer of the epidermis (Stratum Corneum) and to disperse inside, softening the skin from the inside and improving its elasticity.

It also has anti-inflammatory properties which makes it an excellent choice for the treatment of Acne.

Avocado Oil is rich in alpha Tocopherol, which actively promotes metabolism and enhances the re-generation of the cell membranes in the skin.

Avocado Oil is important for the penetration of nutrients into the skin and acts as carrier for the nutrient oils. It thus enhances efficiency and performance of skin-care products.

Avocado Oil is rich in Palmitoleic Acid which is similar to the sebum in the human skin and is therefore very compatible even for sensitive and sick skin.

Popular for dry, cracked skin and skin barrier defects.
