Lavender is well known as an antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, cleanser, toner and detoxifier. Lavender flowers offer gentle yet potent skin-healing effects. Lavender speeds up cell renewal, acts as an antiseptic and calms irritated skin.

Aloe Vera is recognized as an effective aid in healing almost any type of burn or wound. It can help replenish the skin with moisture and foster cell regeneration. Jojoba Oil – is chemically a liquid wax, which closely resembles the natural oils and fats of the skin sebum and therefore has a great affinity to the skin. It is readily absorbed without making the skin greasy, tacky or clogging the pores assisting the rejuvenation of the skin by forming a layer with exceptional trans-epidermal water control, which is of particular importance for mature and dry skin. Jojoba Oil is very stable against oxidation, which slows down enzymatic and bacterial break-down process on the skin, ensuring long lasting protecting properties.

Important is also the ability to penetrate the outside layer of the epidermis (Stratum Corneum) and to disperse inside, softening the skin from the inside and improving its elasticity.

It also has anti-inflammatory properties which makes it an excellent choice for the treatment of Acne.

Borage Oil - The great value of this oil is that it is the richest known source (24%) of an essential fatty acid called gamma- linolenic acid (GLA), which is important to restore moisture and smoothness to dry and damaged skin, but can also provide relief to people who suffer from chronic skin disorders such as eczema and atopic dermatitis.

Clinical tests showed that there is strong evidence that borage oil plays an important role in restoring the intracellular moisture barrier of adult skin which is either chronically dry or has been environmentally damaged.

Avocado Oil is rich in alpha Tocopherol, which actively promotes metabolism and enhances the re-generation of the cell membranes in the skin.

Avocado Oil is important for the penetration of nutrients into the skin and acts as carrier for the nutrient oils. It thus enhances efficiency and performance of skin-care products.

Avocado Oil is rich in Palmitoleic Acid which is similar to the sebum in the human skin and is therefore very compatible even for sensitive and sick skin.

Natal Mahogany – Mafuru Butter is rich Palmitic Acid, Oleic Acid and Linoleic Acid. Palmitic Acid represents the largest proportion of fatty acid in the outside layer of the epidermis (Stratum Corneum). Since the Palmitic Acid production in our skin declines with age, Natal Mahogany Butter is very useful for mature and dry skin, which needs nourishment and moisture. It penetrates and hydrates the skin quickly providing the important fatty acid needed and firms the cell membranes. It also reduces the trans-epidermal water loss.

Rose Hip Oil is rich in essential fatty acids, namely alpha Linolenic Acid. Like no other oil it supports the regeneration of the skin and is extremely suitable for the treatment of dry and scaly skin, Pigment spots and scars. It also contains Trans-Retinolic Acid, which has strong healing and regenerating properties and boosts the collagen production in the skin thus retaining the skin’s ability to store moisture.

Rose Hip Oil stimulates the regeneration of membrane cells and is considered to be an excellent and very compatible Face Oil for dry, mature and inflamed skin.

Licorice (Glycyrrhiza Glabra) contain coumarins, flavonoids, volatile oils, plant sterols, and glycyrrhizin. Packed with hundreds of potentially healing substances, licorice root has been used worldwide to treat a variety of ailments, in particular skin conditions. Clinical studies involving licorice and inflammatory skin dermatoses confirmed that licorice is an effective treatment for rosacea, atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, and drug-induced skin eruptions.

Yarrow (Achillea millefolium) One of the oldest healing plants. Yarrow's high azulen content (which gives it its powerful anti-inflammatory action) is even higher than Chamomile. Azulen also gives Yarrow anti-infectious properties for treating infections.  It is ideal for oily and problem skins.
