Neem Oil has for many centuries been known for its benefits for humans and pets. Used on pets it helps to reduce itchiness caused by allergies, it provides great anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties resulting in a healthy skin and lustrous coat. It is well known as an insect repellent against fleas and mosquitos– it has in fact been traditionally used in India as a natural pesticide to protect their crops. Used on pets it is even known to treat ringworm and mange.

Glycerin (vegetable based) is available naturally in vegetable oils and can also be the byproduct of soap making. Glycerin is a humectant, or hygroscopic in nature. It is found naturally in the skin and absorbs and retains moisture from the air to keep the scalp and hair moisturized and hydrated. Using products with this ingredient improves the hydration of the outer skin layer. It also strengthens the skin barrier and improves barrier function of the scalp retaining the moisture in the scalp and hair.
