Activated charcoal – The huge surface of activated charcoal removes dirt, toxins and excessive oil from the skin, drawing out impurities and unblocks the pores, which are a common cause for spots. It also helps to regulate the amount of sebum that the skin produces which attracts bacteria. The skin is much more balanced, the pores will get smaller.

Healing Earth deeply cleans and purifies the skin, removes toxins, kills harmful bacteria, inhibits swelling and inflammation, regulates the metabolism and increases circulation. It is absorbent, antiseptic, antibacterial, drying, deodorising, regenerative, cools, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, anti-acidic, calming and reduces itching. It has been recommended for abscesses, acne, allergic reactions, joint problems, eczema, skin conditions and infected wounds.

Olive Oil - We use one of the best South African cold pressed extra virgin Olive Oils available on the market. It is by a large margin our most important vegetable oil used in our soap making processes and is usually the first oil on the recipe.

It has been the favourite of soap maker since ancient times. It penetrates the skin better than any other oil. The resulting soaps are moisturizing as well as mild. It is packed with vitamins, minerals and proteins and produces mild, creamy soaps with great emollient properties. Olive oil based soaps are perfect for people with a dry or sensitive skin including eczema and psoriasis.

Olive oil is rich in antioxidants, which help to protect the skin against free radicals which promote aging. Its oleic acids and polyphenols  help prevent wrinkles and sagging of skin.

Sunflower Oil – High Oleic, different to the normal Sunflower Oil, High Oleic Sunflower Oil contains a high content of Oleic Acid and is therefore very resistant to oxidation. It keeps the skin moist and supple by providing a protective film.

It has good moisturizing properties, excellent skin feel and is easily absorbed.

Shea Butter is one of the most popular skin-care products in Africa. It is rich of ingredients valuable for skin–care products such as Phytostrole, wax-ester, Tocopherol, Antioxidants like Catechine and Gallic Acid and valuable Fatty Acids. Important is the high content of unsaponifiables, in particular the Phytosteroles, Triterpene and Tocopherol, which depending on the origin of the Shea Butter can reach up to 12 %.

Due to the broad spectrum of ingredients Shea Butter regulates the moisture content of the skin, acts as an emollient, is calming and smoothens the skin. It is very compatible and is calming irritated, battered skin. It penetrates well but has a limited spreading ability.
