Fynbos - Helichrysum – On our farm in the Fynbos area we have many different varieties of Helichrysum plants. All these species have antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral, pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory properties. The anti-infective and anti-inflammatory activities found support the traditional use in wound dressing.

Pharmacological studies identified antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral, antioxidant, protease-inhibiting and cytotoxicity activities and physiological processes which offer protection against both growth of undesirable bacterial, fungal and free radicals.

We steam-distillate Helichrysum plants on our farm and use the distillate in crèmes and soap, as well as the plants in soap bars. We received very positive feed-back from our customers.

Olive Oil - We use one of the best South African cold pressed extra virgin Olive Oils available on the market. It is by a large margin our most important vegetable oil used in our soap making processes and is usually the first oil on the recipe.

It has been the favourite of soap maker since ancient times. It penetrates the skin better than any other oil. The resulting soaps are moisturizing as well as mild. It is packed with vitamins, minerals and proteins and produces mild, creamy soaps with great emollient properties. Olive oil based soaps are perfect for people with a dry or sensitive skin including eczema and psoriasis.

Olive oil is rich in antioxidants, which help to protect the skin against free radicals which promote aging. Its oleic acids and polyphenols  help prevent wrinkles and sagging of skin.

Avocado Oil is rich in alpha Tocopherol, which actively promotes metabolism and enhances the re-generation of the cell membranes in the skin.

Avocado Oil is important for the penetration of nutrients into the skin and acts as carrier for the nutrient oils. It thus enhances efficiency and performance of skin-care products.

Avocado Oil is rich in Palmitoleic Acid which is similar to the sebum in the human skin and is therefore very compatible even for sensitive and sick skin.

Popular for dry, cracked skin and skin barrier defects.
