When we started more than 10 years ago we found there are very few truly natural cosmetic products available on the South African market.

Knowing the German Naturkosmetik market a little bit and also learning about the benefits these products offer to the customer we decided to develop these types of products in South Africa. Through the years we have acquired a wealth of knowledge about the power of nature and how we can use it in our cosmetics products. When we started we did not know what an exciting journey lay ahead of us.

The combination of age-old healing knowledge, the traditional science of phytotherapy, new research results and clinical trials are the basis of our product development. It was and still is a fascinating journey to learn about the healing properties of medicinal plants and see these findings confirmed in the efficacy of our products. You, our customers played the most important part in the development process. Your feedback gave us the assurance that we were developing in the right direction and what improvements were still necessary. Together with the acquired knowledge of the healing power of nature, your information allows us to competently and confidently advise our customers. We learned what works.

We have a passion for Ethnobotany, the study of the relationship between plants and people, an inexhaustible source teaching us how plants have been used around the world in traditional medicine, customs and beauty care.

The entire development and manufacture of our Naturkosmetik products is done in-house on our farm.

Our personal challenge is the development of high quality and efficient natural cosmetic products in a sustainable way. We control the whole process, from sowing to harvesting, extraction of the plants for many of our herbal raw materials. Being an independent, family-owned company we have the advantage that we can pursue our product philosophy without having to make compromises.

The manufacturing process has a huge influence on the quality and efficiency of the products. To achieve the maximum in quality, our products are handmade with manual skills, we do not use industrial machines. We on purpose do not manufacture in large batches and can therefore guarantee the freshness of our products without using harmful preservatives.
