Moringa (Moringa oleifera) offers huge benefits in skin care applications. We call our Moringa crème “Jungbrunnen” or fountain of youth. Moringa floods the skin with a host of botanicals, vitamins and minerals leaving the skin renewed and re-energized. It stimulates cell renewal which helps to diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and promotes skin firmness and elasticity. It helps to reduce unrefined texture, and uneven skin tone, reduce puffiness under eyes, calm the signs of inflammation and reinforce the skin’s natural defences. It is also ideal for eyes, fine lines around the mouth and other delicate areas.

Moringa restores the skin’s moisture balance as it firms, hydrates and revitalizes and protects the skin from environmental damage with potent levels of antioxidants.

Amongst many other beneficial substances Moringa contains Zeatin, which is extremely important for the efficiency of body own substances like vital amino acids, vitamins, oils, antioxidants, enzymes and minerals. It acts as a catalyst for these substances, Zeatin is  known as one of the most potent anti-ageing substances available in nature. Moringa contains Zeatin in quantities many times higher than any other plant!

Glycerin (vegetable based) is available naturally in vegetable oils and can also be the byproduct of soap making. Glycerin is found naturally in the skin and forms part of the “Natural Moisturizing Factor” (NMF), a compound of substances which are responsible to retain and bind moisture in the skin.

Young and healthy skin is normally well hydrated and contains enough natural moisture retaining and binding substances (NMF). Mature and dry skin does not produce enough of these elements and therefore requires moisture offered from the outside of the skin and products to retain the moisture in the skin.

It has strong water-binding properties, enhances the flexibility of the skin and when used with vegetable oils and Phytosteroles helps to regenerate the skin. It penetrates deep into the Epidermis and acts as a moisture depot. Because it penetrates so deep it can hardly be washed out when the skin gets into contact with water.

Glycerin also helps to strengthen the skin barrier – It increases the thickness of the epidermal layer and improves the barrier function. This means that the harmful chemicals stay out of the skin and moisture stays in.

Since Glycerin is part of the “body-own” substances it is very compatible to the skin.

Wheat Germ Oil, amongst the vegetable oils Wheat Germ Oil has the highest concentration of Tocopheroles. The high Tocopherol content, the unsaponifiables and carotinoids make Wheat Germ Oil a fantastic choice for mature, dull skin, which requires an improved blood circulation. It also contributes to repair cell membranes, improved elasticity, trans-epidermal moisture retention. Wheat Germ Oil is also known to have a skin toning effect, which can be mostly attributed to the improved circulation of the blood strengthening the membrane and transporting moisture and nutrients deep into the epidermis.
