Yangu Oil – Cape chestnut is a popular oil in African skin care. Yangu Oil is used in cosmetics due to its inherent ultra violet protection and its high content of essential fatty acids and antioxidants.
Kalahari Melon Oil is rich in Linoleic Acid, which contributes to excellent moisturizing, regenerating and restructuring properties, the integrity to the cell wall and suppleness and beauty of the skin. It is known for regulating the hydration and restructuring of the epidermis. It is easily absorbed and also has a high antioxidant activity.
Baobab Oil has a good stability against oxidation, which slows down enzymatic and bacterial break-down process on the skin, ensuring long lasting protecting properties. Its balanced fatty acid distribution is nourishing, protecting and strengthening the skin.
Honeybush (Cyclopia intermedia) produces significant anti-wrinkle effects, it reduces the length and depth of skin wrinkles caused by UV irradiation and inhibited thickening of the epidermal layer, in addition to suppressing collagen tissue breakdown reactions, indicating its potential use as a skin wrinkle prevention agent.
There is evidence that the phenolic compounds in honeybush are able to reduce inflammation and prevent the development of chronic inflammatory diseases. Phenolic compounds have a direct effect on down-regulating the body’s inflammatory response. This makes honeybush extract effective in providing inflammatory relief to skin flare ups and irritation caused by conditions like psoriasis and eczema.
